I have a 200 GIG HD what would be the best bios to use to take advantage of all the space... i used Slayers auto installer (which rocks) but when the main screen loads it only shows E: and F: but f is only like 130 gigs and i sill have 60 some gigs left... that should be on G: any help would be great!!! If i could use the rest of the drive on F that would be awsome but if i have to have an F and G thats ok too as long as G is usable!!! Thanks

Supa

You know what man, you have a good question there. That would make an awesome tutorial. If someone has a listing of all the bios' that are available and their attributes that would be such a great thing for our tutorial section.

I'll look around and see what I can come up with.

See if this chart gives you the info you want. I didn't spend much time staring at it, but I think I remember seeing this long ago and it should have the info that you want.

We need something like this here.

http://www.xbox-scene.com/bios_retail.html

It looks like if the bios has this hack (LBA48) then it should handle HD's larger than 137GIG.

Use Xecuter2 4983.67 bios. It is avaliable from the VIP downloads and supports big drives. This is what I use and it also stops you from going on live when it's on so you can't get banned Very Happy

Maybe this will help someone else too but i also used Xecuter2.4981 Bios i edited the bios so that i don't have a f and g drive.. the rest of the 200 gig drive is available to f: so instead of f haveing 130gigs and g having 60gigs, f has 190+ space for games... i also used slayers auto installer to get the job done.. thats a great program!!

So in your evo x settings now... does it show that f: has 190+ gig? Mine still shows x:, y:, z: and i'm not sure why they're there. I have xecuter2 4981 bios edited to use all of partition 6... i also have a 200gig hd.
