How do you set up homebrew apps? I'm trying to run Duke Nukem... FTP'd the files onto the F:\ drive and then created an entry and path in evox.ini. When I try to load the game, the xbox freezes and I have to reboot it.

Homebrew apps are no different then any other application you load onto your xbox hDD..
If you copy Duke Nukem into your f:\games directory on your XBOX HDD and you are running EVOX DASHBOARD it will automatically pick up the games you copy to that directory and add them to the MAIN EVOX MENU under 'GAMES'..
Also if you copy a HOMEBREW APP/GAME onto
f:\Apps\ProgamName\
it will automatically find it and add it to the EVOX Apps Menu!

I got it to appear in my games dir,
but i don`t have the wad files to make it run anyway.
there should be a txt file that come with it to tell you what
to do, txt files can be read in the file manager of unleash or the text viewer found in ava.
oddyseyx and pscx v.13 both
have text viewers, failing all those use linksbocks v.92
click on goto url leave it blank and it will show you all your
drives.

I am having the exact same problem. I copy a homebrew game over to F:\Games\ (Whatever game folder here). EVOX will show the game in the menu, but if I try to run it, it will either hang, or just return to the dashboard after a couple of seconds. Some games have worked however, and some work partway (Doomx will boot, but once I try and run my Doom2 wad file, it errors out in the dos-like screen).
I'm not sure if this is related, but if I rename a .xbe title using C-XBox, it wiont run, until I rename it back to its original name.
Somebody please help. I'm almost thinking my EVOX is corrupt... so some info on how to re-install the dashboard via FTP would be very useful.

Hey all, I'm being lazy. Does anyone know where the evox.ini file is pointing to for homebrew games. (I used AID 2.0 and EvoX 3935 installed to C with E+F)
I can FTP them to my F:/games folder, but since there is a Play Homebrew Games menu, I figured the ini file has to be pointing somewhere specific.
I dont see a homebrew folder in any of the partition folders, and really dont feel like grabbing the ini file...lol.
Just thought someone would know off the top of their head.

Send me a copy of your .ini file and i`ll have a look for you MG.
I used to add my own tabs to evox back in the day`s before unleash.
A homebrew folder was one of them.
(I used to use the Games folder for my homebrew and the hddloader folder for my "other" games)
You can always have a look using the file manager within unleashx or
linksboks, both great programs for reading .xml files, .ini files
and of course text files.
