I`m not sure but if it`l boot a backup or boot disc, then it`s job done.

Sounds to me like you were trying to boot to bank 2, or else you were just flashing the FLASH Bios back on over and over???? Flashing will still start at the first 512KB, and then when he reboots, it will come back up to the flash bios, over and over. I assume you got the correct 512KB Bios for that (you never did say exactly what Bios you were putting on there).

Hope you got everything resolved. Personally, the HTTP flash method has always worked best for me on X2.6 and X3 chips. No worries about what CD media will work and no iso to burn.
