I got these "hot wires" neon lights for real cheap($5 CAD) I got three different colors. Anyways... They are battery powered which is kind of cool but not for xbox. I was wondering if there is a way to use them with the xbox so when I turn the box on the lights will go on too. Turning them on manually with the battery power just don't work for me. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Here is a couple pics of them -

correct me if im wrong but the HDD molex connector has DC voltages doesnt it? 12V and 5V, so you could just run a wire from the ground and one of the +v to make a battery rerlacement pack. If the voltage is too high you can make a potential divider with two resistors in series and the hotwire in parallel with the second resistor. the VOut will be the ratio between the two resistances. If im working this out right it will be in parrallel to the HDD so the voltage to the drive should be unaffected, although you will be pulling slightly more amps from the PSU

Well I got them in there, I just bought some el tape and it had two plugs for tape I used the one then for the other I cut the plug off and soldered the neon wire to the wire where I cut it. It worked out ok, here's what it looks like.
