Here's my thinking. I'm not positive that my router is "XBL compatible" like other routers. It was around long before XBL. Since it's connecting enough to see the web (presumably a diff ip being used) and can't connect under the IP 0.0.0.1, the router must be the issue.

I had that that same router and was able to go live. I just recently switched to a Belkin and thats the one that gave me issues. I'll see if I find it when I get home and set it up. Then see if I can connect to KAI.

Honestly another thing that might be my issue is that I use Mac addr filtering. I'm going to try to shut that down tonight and see if that makes a diff. The biggie is that the Xbox is wireless, so it might be that the filtering isn't allowing the Kai through. Damn thing surfs the net great though. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Ok so I fiddled with the box quite a bit last night. Finally using the M$ dash, got to the point where the test said I was getting though to XBL.
I thought, GREAT GOT IT! Restarted XBMC, restarted Kai, looked at all the arenas on the xbox and picked one. Didn't see any lock, clicked play, booted the game, went to system link, and...... and........ and..... there I am alone with only the "new game" and no other rooms showing.
It's either the Linksys WGA11B can't handle it, or something changes after I go back to XBMC so that I'm not able to shift back to ip 0.0.0.1. I rebooted the Xbox, tried the connect setting and it started failing again.

do you have a software firewall running? one firewall i tried wouldn't let the games show up under system link although everything else seemed to be fine. try disabling your software firewall if thats the case.

I did it!
I finally got all the ports forwarded and firewall configured, then did exactly as Enigma suggested and got my ass fragged for the first, second, third.... ect. time. All too cool. Halo 2 rocks! _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Ok, this looks good and bad at the same time. You did as I suggested with the port frowarding right? Cause I never told your ass fragged that many times..

Oh, one cool thing is that some of the guys were talking over my TV in the lobby.
