Can someone help me? Lately when I am playing a game, after a few minutes my x-box goes to a black screen that say "there is a problem with the disk I am using, it may be dirty or damaged". I have used a laser lens cleaner, checked the disks and cleaned them. It even happens on a brand new game I bought yesterday. I am trying to play Silent Hill 4, but I can't even get past the intro to a point where I can save. Someone Please Help Soon!!!!!

what drive do u have ?
If u have a thomson.... well ur drive is dieing.. slowly so just buy a new one... i think there 60$- 70$

The problem resides in the laser itself. The laser has become weak and most games are on DL Pressed Disks...so, the laser can't penetrate the second layer, hence thinking it's dirty.
You can try to removed the laser assembly and up the voltage, but honesly...it's a pain in the ass and doesn't always fix for long.
