I need some help here... Sorry if there is another forum like this. But here is the issue... I have softmodded the xbox already and I used xboxhdm and created a xbox hdd from scratch on the 160gig. I rebooted and locked the hd and it states that it locks the drive. So I place it in the soft modded xbox and get the can-not unlock error. So I hook it back up on the pc and unlock it and then place it back into the xbox and power it up and get the other error for HDD not locked. I think they are error 06 and 07 ... Any Ideas??? they both have config magic and Evox M8. I also can FTP the machine... Let me know... Thanx

Sorry. I was talking about the retail hdd and the new hdd....

I have that problem before when installing my WD120 GB hd(on sale only $20), after unlock and locking few times, error still show up, so put back the stock hd and get the eeprom again and burn a new cd(better quality), and works. So i think you can try to extract the rom again from the xbox and create a new cd. hope this help

Finally got it to work.... I had to unlock the drive using the EEPROM password and then relock it using the autolock feature on Xboxhdm1.9 and it works great..... This is for the non locable HDD on the list. The Western Digital wd1600jb....
