I installed the X3 and with the chip enabled I get a solid Orange light and NO video at all, even using the original video connector. If the chip is bypassed I get video. All soldering is 100% and no splashed solder on the daughter board and no overheat problems. Even holding the wither button will not show the Flashbios screen.. I have installed aprox 10 so am not a total newbie.
PLZ help ! thanx in advance

you probably have a bad connection on one of the pins... even if you are an experienced solderer you can get one occasionally that looks great but just doesnt connect. i would recommend re-melting all the pin connections and make sure they all solidly connect to the lpc hole not just blob on the end of the pin _________________ .

I tried to reflow all connections, even replaced all parts even the LPC with a 2nd chip I had with same results. if I bypass the chip(hold power button) I get video if chip enabled, no video... very weird.

ive never seen the leds do solid orange, but since it only occurs with the chip enabled and with 2 chips, that says that its an install problem.
it could be:
-a pin not connected
-a trace broken
-a soldersplash somewhere shorting
it would be about impossible to narrow it down any further without having the board in front of me... _________________ .
