BEFORE softmodding and rebooting to a dash? Basically, I think FTP is enabled in the save game exploit dash that is booted, but I think it is 192.168.0.100 (with a netmask of 255.255.255.0). This may be totally wrong, as it has been a couple months since I did this last, and I don't recall. Which means my main PC network, which is on 192.168.1.* can't reach it). Anyway, I'm just wondering if there is a way to change the default netork IP address of the SID 3.0 BEFORE you apply the softmod and reboot to a modified dash (like unleashedX or EvoX). Is there a way to change what this default is in the SID 3.0 save game code or from the softmod dash menus? I don't recall an option to change/restart FTP services in the softmod exploit dash...

The reason I would like to do this, is to make CERTAIN I get a copy of the eeprom.bin and backup folders before rebooting with the softmod. I got into trouble here once before because something broke and had to go to a hotswap, because I didn't have a chance to get the eeprom.bin. Not a huge deal, just rather be safe than sorry if I can...

Thanks,

-Jhondra

if you look in your udata you will see a folder begining with 2 (should only be one) in there go into files and you should see a config.xml edit that and you`ll be sorted.

sorry that should be for splinter cell 2158554
for mech assult 4d530017 and for 007 4541000d

there isn`t any reason why you couldn`t put the eeprom.bin onto a memory card via the file manager.

Thanks!

As it turns out, there IS a way to change the IP address in the SID 3.0 before applying the softmod (and "restarting" doesn't reboot the xbox, it actually restarts the UnleashedX SID exploit dash. So, no worries there. I did have problems getting a eeprom.bin backup with just SID 3.0 (had to boot AID 2.11Final). For some reason I thought that making a backup in SID 3.0 would grab my eeprom.bin. Shrug. Sure wish config magic was on the SID 3.0. That way I could lock/unlock the HDD and back up the eeprom.bin before doing ANYTHING to the main drive (especially if you are just planning to pop a new drive in anyway).

Anyway, everything went just fine last night on the second box hard mod and drive upgrade. 4 hours total (and 2 hours was dicking around with the softmod and aid some more, since I had all these things I had thought of after doing it the first time that I wanted to try). I think I can do it all in under 2 hours now.

Thanks,

-Jhondra
