From what I've seen, the XBox 360 will be no where NEAR as versitile as XBMC (won't support live streaming from your TIVO with .ty formats, and probably not Divx, MPG4 or XVID formats, because of liscensing issues and competing with their own WMV format). Sounds like early on, the XBMC team approached MS about trying to make it a legit app for the home media extender. Microsoft wouldn't even talk to them.
Microsoft has their own media formats to protect as well as royalties and resistance to Hollywood on some of this open digital copy protection. Those involved in the DirecTV Tivo hacking are familiar with how resistant the motion picture group and Hollywood is to something that is as cool as XBMC and whole house digital recording/streaming. At some point, it is too open to keep even thought of piracy down. If they can't close source it and keep you from getting access to the raw digital stream (HDCP or with encrypting), you will never see a big company do it, because they would be too large of a target for the MPG and Hollywood groups.

The PS3 sucks. So does the Nintendo Revolution. Have you seen it's controller? A remote and a thumb anlalog stick, it looks like crap. I would never buy it. I heard the PS3 is going to be around $600.00 because of the new technology, the blue ray disk rom. And if I do buy one of the new systems, I'm going to wait a year until the price drops.
