The jumpers are on the hard drive. Error 07 is a hard drive error. Hopefully you have a backup of your eeprom. If not you better start looking at mod chips. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

Is it not possible to boot up and reformat the hard drive still with pirupps or is that out of the question now i have error 7 the hard drive is locked and one morning i had error 16 and so tried pirupps but by that night i had error 7 pirupp told me to check my cables and jumpers
i have checked all cables and they are fine

You can rebuild a hdd with xboxhdm. It will put an m$dash on it. Just make sure that you move the jumpers back to "cable select" before you place it back in the xbox. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

my hotswap tutorial is only if your hd is locked (with correct eeprom) but the disk is empty or missing files .
make sure your hd jumper is on CS (cable select)
also check the ide cable in your xbox.
give us more info what you did and if the hd is locked or not.

MY hard drive ius not unlocked because i could not backup before i found out i had removed evox and i left without power for more than 5 hours so i got error 16
but when i went to try to reformat i got error 7 and now your saying i hav to change settings on jumpers which i have noc lue how to do or even where my jumpers are:S
i know if i can just get back to error 16 i can uses pirrups again
but thats the hard part i dunno whats happening with this error 7
most site sjust say buy a mod chip and give no help under error 7
i have checked ide nothing seems wrong
i have checked cable from dvdrom and hard drive and nothing seems wong
but still i have error 7
please help :'(

- Did have softmodded evox dash b4 i removed thinking i would get msdash back (dumb i know)

The jumpers are the pins in the back of the hard drive, next to the ide cable. You might want to try a different ide cable also. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

ive just swopped the xbox ide cable for my pc's and booted the xbox still error 7
