I am pretty noob with xbox modifying. I was trying to get my new HDD to work with Evox chip. just when I got to the step to make a dashboard I accidentally flashed a bios during exploring the dashboard. Afterward my xbox just shuts down and just wont do anything when I turn on my xbox. I know this is fukked up stupid of me to flash my bios. I seriously need help.

I am in no way an expert, but can't you boot from a disc? If you don't have it already, get an auto-installer. from the vip section. it's pretty fool proof, judging by the directions.
Hang in there for someone with more experience.
Good luck. _________________ XBOX v1.1 - Philips DVD

I agree with cheez, if you can boot from a disk, run djb's xbox-hq auto installer, and you should be good to it. it'll set up your HDD as well. good luck _________________ XBOX v1.0:

That's strange. From my knowlege when the tray won't open there's usually overheat involved. This is really a strange one. I have never heard of a bios flash causing a tray to not eject. But, I'm pretty new too, so maybe this will be a learning experience for the both of us.

i had the same stupid mistake flashing my bios accidentally. its just exactly the same that my xbox cant boot a cd anymore and its hard to eject the cd. pls help if you know about this prob. many thanks.
This may sound a stupid question......does the xbox work with the chip switched off or does it not work period ?
If it was a bad flash that caused the prob would the use of an external programmer to reflash the chip not sort the prob ?
Not that i'm any sort of expert mind
