when ever i go too xlink kia, it tells me "the service is not connected, would you like to attempt to reconnect" or somthing like that....
i run evox 3935 as my dash. and xbmc as an app. my bios is x3 config live 2913.
xbmc works great. it is online. my weather works, i get head lines...
ive messed around with the settings for kia to try and fix, i dont know whats up. my computer is down so i want to run kai directly off my xbox.
at one time i had it working. i dont reemember what i did to make it not work.

the xlonk kai feature in xboxmc just lets you contro lthe setting such as game map region ect you still must have the xlink kai engine runing on your PC for it to work. _________________ Xbox v1.0

simple tutorial.
1.- run xlink config tool and set it to for engine only to use dashboards only.....this way only the engine works.
2.- turn on xlink on computer and you should see some bubble on the taskbar that shows its connected.
3.- now in xbox media center go to. settings>my programs>xlink kai, and set your options there from user, password, and engine IP (engine IP will be the ip of the computer running kain engine. example my computer ip is 192.168.1.101 and it's running xlink, that's the engine ip for the settings on xbox media center, once that's done, exit to main menu, and go to my programs>xlink kai, and connect, you should the see rooms and stuff there.
to move options you press left and right triggers, and the rest doesn't need a tutorial, just in case you do, go to their site. www.teamxlink.co.uk
good luck

Dont forget if you have a router you need open some ports to play XLINK KAI! To do this normally you access your ROUTER via the webadmin http browser..
FORWARD PORTS ON YOUR ROUTER FOR XLINK/XBC:
1. Open a web browser and enter your routers ip address
eg. http://192.168.0.100
2. Login using your admin username and password
3. Click on the 'Applications & Gaming' tab or 'Security Tab' depending on what brand of router you have.
4. Click on 'Port Range Forwarding' or 'Port Forwarding' depending on your model/make of router
5. Now below i will list the following ports you need to forward..
You need to forward the ports to your pc which is running the XLINK or XBC tunnelling software.. In my example the PC which runs XLINK/XBC is 192.168.0.1
Ill list the ports i have forwarded and XLINK works like a charm.
I play online just about every night..
XLINK PORTS FOR YOUR ROUTER:
APPLICATION: XBC (XBCONNECT)
START: 8602
END: 8602
PROTOCOL: BOTH
IP ADDRESS: 192.168.0.1 (PC RUNNING XBC TUNNEL CLIENT)
6.Dont forget to restart your router by switching it off for a few seconds too.. Ive noticed with some firmware it wont open the ports until the next reboot..
Thats it.. You should now be able to play online!
