ok i got the chip Xecuter 2.6 with the solderless adapter . the solderles adapter is the upgraded virson.(just wider) I put it in the Xbox and trun it one and I got no lights so the chip doesn't turn on. The also need to be over all the pins from the solderless adpter right ? to work? I checked all contecions and them are all ok.
Can any one shead some light ( ) on this ?????

What version Xbox do you have? Just out of curiousity. I know that some of the 1.5 version Xbox's required some additional connections to power up the chip.
Also, some solderless adapters do not work on 1.6 machines and a special adapter is needed.
I'm not saying this is what your problem is, but with the info you supplied I really can't think of anything more at this point. _________________ Xbox 1.4

it is either a 1.4-1.5 we are still not sure, his multimeter is differnt then mine so we couldnt fig how to read the 3.3v or chek the connection between ground and pin 2, but i believe it is a 1.4 _________________ Please post all PC Questions at PC-HQ.com

I remember I tested out a focus board once and I had continuity when I used my multimeter, so this told me I had a 1.4, not a 1.5. I chipped it with a SmartXX V2 mod chip and when I booted the machine I got absolutely no power to the chip.
I refused to believe I had a 1.5 since it tested out as a 1.4. I went round and round for two days with my solder points, convinced they were fine, I went ahead and added the extra wire(s) for the 1.5 install and BAM...all was well with next startup.
Even if it tests as a 1.4 it wouldn't hurt to try the extra connections. It happened to me once so I am sure it can happen to someone else.
