I am getting an xbox soon and just wanted to know if I replace the HDD do I need to lock it if I am not going to use Xbox Live?

Nope but its also not hard to do too...it takes 2 second to back up your EEprom and FTP to your PC desktop. Also if you are getting a chip I made a nice easy to folloe guide for this......I broke it down from the start...like what tools you will need and all that stuff.

I tell you what chipping the box is the best for newbies...hell I would have to chipped mine in the end because I would have mess it all up...lol. Plus I have a duo2 blue chip and it only set me back 20.00 bones and just getting the game and action reply and the mem card alone will set you back twice that
