I use UnleashX, it's the best simplified dashboard there is, and packs one hell of a punch when it comes to scripting flexibility (I use this for AID if anyone didn't know already hehe).
Xbox Media Center (XBMC) is good if your Xbox is more used as a Media Center opposed to a Emulator or Games box.

One good way to fill it is to grab all your favourite TV Shows, Divx movies etc and put them on your Xbox.
I hardly use my original Xbox for gaming these days, so it's turning more and more into just a media center for me.

XBMC for me...like you DJB, mine is hadly ever used for games anymore...more of a media center. I love that you can stream all of your content and you can stop a show or a movie, turn off the XBOX, turn it on a day later and pick right back up where you left off. I cut my satelite bill down from $65-$70 a month to $28!!

I too use Unleahsx, the best by far. And it has boost mode that can be used with Qwix

I use unleashx as my primary dashboard board. I love the fact that it has the ability to backup games built into the dashboard. I also enjoy the music in the background, and the ability for it to upgrade itself.
I also use xbmc a lot, but I use it as a secondary dash. I have my x3 set so that when I boot I hold the trigger and it goes to xbmc instead of unleash.
The best thing I can recommend is to install every dash you can find as an application, and try them all. You'll more than likely cling to one, just stick to that and check the forums for that specific dash on xbox-hq _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

i wouldnt install Avalaunch or Unleashx as apps as this can cause system stability problems. Install them as a dash. They only have 2 main files each, the XBE file and the config file. Use an app such as XSELECT to boot one of a list of dashes

I have both Evox and XBMC. Evox is used to games and emulation, and XBMC for media related stuff and has a file exploler. I had wanted to change to just XBMC when MC360 came out but its easier to update XBMC when its installed as app.

I now run unleash but am thinking about swaping it to XBMC...just for the fact of video playing in the background and the trainers too. But I can't get this XBMC to work right at all....I also did run the 360 but I didn't like the backgrounds at all???
