I have noticed the temp on my xbox going up and was wondeering if my fan was going bad. right know if I run it for 30 minutes or so the temp is like 55 for the mpu and 48 for the other one they were alot lower when I first modded my xbox so should I replace the fan or use some other source to cool my box

You could always upgrade to a 12 volt fan. Available at many computer stores etc. Requires some cutting or dremeling of the fan to make it fit, but will give you good results. Most fans come with a cable to go between the harddrive molex to power them, or you can just splice it in the yellow cable and adjacent ground.

if not you can get some good thermal compound used for computer cpus and put that on the cpu and gpu chips after you clean them .... but usually the 12v fan will be good enough.
