So you mean Format Retail HDD and then use the install MS Dash 5960 back on Cdrive?
and also format E and F?

well to avoil any other conflits i was thinking of wiping out the entire hd and yes put the ms dash 5960 as the dashboard so you wont end up with an error code on power up , then after you install the ms dash install the exploits so right away you can boot it and mod it .

Sorry if I sound noobish but I just don't want to make any more mistakes. What option wipes out the entire HD? is it what I refered to before "Format Retail HDD" ?
Some info I can give you is that it used to have slayer on it.. and then I while ago I tried to redo it and i don't remember what happened but I formated some drives and it went back to the original xbox.. so I couldn't run any backup games and it didn't launch the hacked dashboard that was running before.
Today I ran the exploit again and it worked perfectly. but then I saw that E and F had a bunch of other files and folders like applications, games, music etc and I wanted to remove everything and did just that. I then tried to reinstall the softmod from AID but wasn't working.
That's about all the info I can give you.

well if you can wipe out the hd ( using aid ) and mange to leave the sid 4.5 saves (from aid 3 ) to the hd then you can power it back on ( loading ms dash ) and put game mod it and brand new xbox
1) formate bigger hd
2)install ms dash as a dashboard
3)install sid 4.5 exploits from same disc
4)by now you have retail ms dash and put your game and mod it then you can pretty much start over using aid 3 install your apps emus and so on .

After I did this I rebooted the xbox without a DVD in it.. It goes to the unleashX screen then afterwards gives me error22. Which is something about cannot find e:/dash/ and asks me to press 'A' but it reboots and does same thing again.
I then loaded 007 AUF and loaded the exploit. I tried to make an MS Backup but it tells me:
Code:
Batch process failed.
The last item was: FOUND EXISTING SOFTMOD.
Action: Rename
What should I do now? man I hope I can fix this.

that only happend if you did not put your ms dash on on the C ... pretty much your C contained some modded files , since you cannot load aid 3 then you can ftp durring the linux * it opens up a wall when the linux is active* check the settings for the ip then after you got your ftp download the ms dash 5960 from pirrups signiture . _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Actually I can still load AID3. I just did. When I formatted before I checked the C drive.. it was empty. Then I used the Install MS Dash 5960 and afterwards checked the C drive and it contained files again. and then afterwards I went to advanced options/install sid4.5/007 AUF.
So now we are back where we started.
What other options can I try?

wiat im confused you can load aid 3 but you have ms dash? . unless on yeah look on tools or advance to see if you can " unmount virtual drive " then try to put the saves and see how it turns out .....
it does not make any sense if you have ms dash then how come it boots up aid 3.... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

If you read my previous post I wrote that it loads UnleasX screen.
" unmount virtual drive " Is this in the AID or SID program?
nevermind.. I found it.
So now I unmount and then boot again with the 007 game right?
Or should I unmount then reformat again etc....?
