So I got my xbox all modded up nicely with a 300gb drive. I transferred my media too it and everything was working great. Then this scratched DVD came along and I kept trying to get it to read for like an hour, and for some reason I figured MS Dash would have more luck reading it. So I did "Install MS Dash 5960" from AID3.0. Now, as I guess a more experienced user would expect, my xbox turns on and displays the Error 21 "Contact Customer Support" error.
What are my options to correct this? I hope I can salvage my files an don't have to start from scratch....

hmmm...did you back up the dash to you're desktop?? If you can FTP just wipe out the ms dash and input the hacked one. Or see if the AID will run and just reinstall a dash??? _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

I have that same exact problem. please tell how to fix that please. I don't have the money to get another xbox. What happened is that all of my files except unleshX disapearred and my xbox live doesn't work anymore because of the customer service 21 error. I really need some help.

2. Hdd???

This is a softmod.
I ran a backup but all the stuff is still on the drive. What can I do?

back ups on the xbox are @ this point useless.. now can eiter of you load your linux or aid 3 ? if so then just put the dashboard on E for sid 4 and 4.5 and for anyother mod installers put it on C ....
i dont see how clicking on ms dash 5960 messes up 4.5 as i have 4.0 and i accidenltly yesterday clicked on ms dash but i got no error 21.
and are both of you sure its error 21 or error 22 with a skull ? if its 22 and says press A then do so ....

I had SID4.5 and AID3.0. Its error 21. I tried the AID dvd, same error. Could I put the HD in another computer and copy files from my old XBMC dash back over the MS Dash?
(I think the reason this happened is because I needed to install a patched MS Dash?)
I am at a loss here.

pc and xbox use a diffrent file system lmao .... if you always get error 21 and cannot cold boot the game to load linux or aid then you have to hotswap or mod chip _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

I'll stop using this topic because I have another one, but yes my Linux still loads up. Mine's help with ERROR 21.
