It depends on what got zapped.(if that IS what happened.)
The 1st thing I would do is, open the box and remove the drives. now take it to a table (Cleared) and turn it over set it down and pat (Like you're burping a baby.) the bottom a couple of times.
Turn it back over listening for anything rolling around, and look on the table for anything that fell out.
Now use a can of Compressed Air (Dust-Off or whatever.) to clean the board.
Now check the board with a magnafying glass for burned traces/components, solder splashes, and etc. after this I would give it another try.
BTW: I have heard that sometimes the V1.5's just start to FRAG for no reason. If all else fails try a chip. You can't really break it any worse, can you?
As far as ESD precautions, try not to wear any clothing that you get shocked in. Also, try to touch one of the ground points on the Mobo before you pick it up. Work on a flat hard surface, and try not to use plastic unless it is anti-static (you will know if you have one, they are a little spendy). _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

Okay guys, i fixed it. THe alt D0 wire on the board was disconnected. Do you know how the solder point hits the line of wire below the board. well i was trying to solder a wire, but the iron must of just took the previous solder out. I rigged a wire and it is working. BUt know i a have new questions...
Okay when ever i try to solder something, the solder just sticks to the iron, and when the iron is on for awhile, when ever i touch a previous solder point, to connect a wire, it pretty much evaporates the solder. I have a 15 watt soldering iron, and i am using .05 resign solder. So what is my problem? is the iron getting too hot, or is the solder too thick? I do think it could be anything else, but since you guys are experts.. I thought i would ask you. thanks again

If you go to Radio Shack and get the Tip Cleaner and Flux for about $5.
Then you just touch the tip in there for an instant, it will sizzle and smole a bit, then you tin the tip a little.
You can use a toothpick to dab a teeny-tiny bit onto what you are soldering, that can help some. _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!
