Hey, maybe the roaches are what takes the info from the disc and transfers to the HDD.

LOL sounds like my old place. we called it "Hogwartz" but it shoulda been "flophouse".
We didnt have a "Roach" problem, though we did have roaches laying around (fun time roaches, ahem ) but since we were so close to the Savannah River (walk out my back door) we would get these things called Palmetto bugs that would come inside during heavy rain. they were not "roaches" in the domestic sence, they commonly lived outdoors, but they looked like GIANT roaches. OMG!!! I HATE mayflies!!!
When I worked as a camp counsolor about 7 years ago (one of thoes live-in summer camps) we has a ton of them. The camp was on Clarks Hill Lake (people in South carolina call it "Strom Thurmond Lake").
There were so many of them they COVERED the shores, noone wanted to swim. And near the boathouse when I had to go get life jackets for the campers I would have to hold my breath cause the air was so thick with thoes bastards I would breathe in and one would slap up against my nose. UGH!!!
