i got the duo-x2 too and i have no purple sign and the other bank has cromwell come up and asks for a dvd boot ?????????????? what is going on here i've been searching and no one seems to have the same problem as i describe . i soldered it with the pcb and it plays normally great and seems to be doing everything it should so i think it is installed correctly as i can tell. help what do i do next?

You have a duox2 cromwell (the white chip), which doesn't come preflashed with hacked bioses. Slide the bank switch over and boot up.. you should get flashbios. Use that to flash a 512k hacked bios and you'll be good to go.

sorry but I have the blue chip, forgot about the color detail. and did i just download these and then burn them on a dvd and put and just turn it on? cause i was reading about grounding 2 pts and turned it on and the ogg remove the ground and etc..... ?????

Appleguru or whoelse that can help,
I got the EurAsia Pro Generic Flash Disc v1.2 download and got the m8 bios for a v1.6 and i burned the flash at 4x and then read the tutorial on burning a bois fiqured out the iso9660 format thing .(useing roxio) so i powered up the xbox with the bank for cromwell and then like your instruction said swithched to the other bank (by the switch). cromwell was there and asks for the dvd i press A, place flash dvd in ,press A and it spins up and does nothing!!! I left it sit there for 10 mins just incase but screen never changes. I powered up on the other bank with the flash already in the tray and still just a blank screen. Is there a connection to remove or ground when you flash ? or what else could i be doing wrong.

you need to flash the chip, by the looks you still have the cromwell bios still on the chip. _________________

Ah, yeah... 1.6 xbox.. You wont likely see flashbios then on the other bank. Sounds like you didn't properly burn Eurasia or it'd boot when you pressed A. Make sure you're burning it correctly an onto DVD-R or CD-RW media. _________________ OTB Mods.com

all i got is dail-up so can'y get nero dl. and i got roxio basic creater 7 i'll try again but maybe my roxio settings are so different can't get them right. anybody out there use roxio to burn the flash file? and can give me some setting i have to use. i'll try again and let ya know. and as always thanks.

it a happy day in the xbow world afreind got me a downloaded nero 7 trail and it all worked thanks appleguru used your files and it took the flash and bios finally gonna get me a nice dash and see if i can back up my game disc now . let ya know how it goes

I need to know how to add a dashboard to my xbox i really can't find a general tutorial on adding this and from my reading on making backup games i need one. i have evolx dash downloaded . do i really need to hook up xbox to my pc to make backup game discs? this is so confussing when you really don't understand how all this program stuff works
