hi i am downloading auto installer deluxe v3.0..
what will it do for me and where can i find some instructions or tips on how to use it???
i want to be able to store games on my harddrive without opening up the box... also i wanna try xbox live one day and i heard you can't get on there if your chipped up... is this true?

Hi there and welcome to the HQ network. As far as saving games to your hard drive in the Xbox that is very possible but unless you are willing to open her up and get a modchip installed there are a few things you must do and must remember. Firstly remember that the HDD in the Xbox is only 10GB so as far as storing any games you could probably store about 2 games provided that you don't have lots of music ripped to your HDD. To do a softmod you have to have a few things first... You need an Action Replay for Xbox kit which is about $20, then you also need an ORIGINAL copy of either Mechassault, (the first one, not mechassault 2) 007 Agent under fire, or Splinter Cell (the first one they released). Then you have to download Softmod installed deluxe(or SID) from the downloads section and use the action replay to transfer the hacked game save to the memory card you get with the action replay. Then, trasnfer that gamesave to the Xbox HDD by inserting the mem card into the controller and turning on the xbox without a game inserted into it and then copy the game save to the HDD. After that is done insert the game of choice and run it. When you go to the section of the game that you can load a saved game, choose the gamesave that is called "run linux". When you do that you will be presented with a new screen. The first thing you wanna do is make a copy of your MS Dashboard in case you screw anything up. Then simply install the hacked dashboard of your choice (i recommend UnleashX) and when you restart the xbox without a game in it it'll boot to the hacked dashboard. NOW, as i said you can copy games to the HDD by using DVD2Xbox (that's my favourite) but remember that space might be an issue. You can however copy xbox games to Blank DVD disks and run them perfectly on your newly hacked Xbox.
As far as the burned music cd situation remember one thing....THE XBOX CAN NOT READ CD-R DISKS. IT WILL ONLY READ CD-RW OR DVD-R/RW OR DVD+R/RW!!!!

so what does this program do?(auto installer)
i got told thats all i'd need to start playing burn't games??
Still not wanting to open my box yet but i would love to play burnt one's...
also whats the go with hooking up your xbox to the net ?? do you have to purchase xbox live???

AID is the ultimate installer of hacked dashboards. There are multiple dashes to choose from but you CAN NOT use it until you either softmod you xbox or hard mod it by putting in a modchip. I say you can't use it because it simply won't be read by the xbox because it is not signed by microsoft. Mod your xbox first THEN you'll be able to read ADI in your xbox dvd drive and install many different apps and emulators but i warn you!!!! if you softmod your xbox DO NOT try to install another dashboard over the softmod or even format the partition then install a new one. YOU WILL BREAK YOUR XBOX IF YOU DO THIS!!! As far as connecting to the internet, you will not be able to go on xbox live with a modded xbox as this will be noticed by Microsoft and then you'll get banned for life and will ahve wasted time and money. You can however play games online but only games that have the ability to play system link and to do that you must use XBConnect or Xlink-kai. If you search on google you can find their homepages and find out all about them to get you up and running.
