I seem to have a problem and was wondering if anyone could help. I modded a 1.0 version xbox with SID2.11 and everything was working fine. I wanted to upgrade to SID 4.5 so I formatted the C drive, installed a clean MS Dash5960(viaAID3), went to advanced tab and loaded SID4.5 splinter cell files to HD. I then cold booted with Splinter Cell game and installed SID4.5. I made all back ups and the installation went smooth. It even went to the final screen where it asks you to press "A" and everything went fine. The problem is when I try to boot up my xbox I get an error screen. The one without any error codes. When I boot normally and I can see the green clock screen for like half a second and then I get the error screen. When I try to boot in retail mode(Ndure) I can see the xbox live green loading symbol at the bottom of the screen for like 1 second and then I get the error screen. What do I do to fix it? Thank you!

Well, I can get my xbox back to it's previous state with xboxhdm. So getting my xbox to the SID2.11 state isn't hard. It's actually what I'v been doing trying to trial and error this thing. So far nothing seems to work. I even tried to remove both SID's. When I try to remove the SID2.11 I get a non numbered error screen number. I also get the same problem after trying to uninstall SID4.5. It does that same effect after trying to boot. It seems for like a split second like it wasnts to boot but then the error screen. Why would I get an error screen after uninstalling SID4.5? I installed a fresh MS dash from AID3 so there should be no problems right? Thanks a lot for the help oh and to answer your question gus738, there are no numbers just the error screen.

can you coldboot your exploitable game and re mod ????? can you still run aid 3 ???? plz answer those 2 questions...

Okay I can cold boot my exploitable game and remove the softmod. I then installed it again and it's still doing the nonnumberd error screen. I can't run AID3 either. So i need to do the hotswap without eeprom? Do you have a link where I can find that? What does it fix? Is my eeprom corrupt or something? Sorry for all the dumb questions it's just I like to understand what is wrong so that if I ever run into this again I know why. Thanks for all the help gus.

ok so you can coldboot and theirs no error code number.... ok can you re explain to me what is the situiation??? i am sorry but i couldnt understand what you said on your first post on this thread....
and hotswaping just returns your xbox to retail mode but since you can uninstall softmod then its quite unnecerry... so we need to figure out why your getting this error code thing...

Sorry for being unclear in my first post. I will try to explain it better. I have an xbox softmodded with SID2.11 and I wanted to upgrade to SID4.5. So booted AID3 and formatted my C drive, installed a fresh MS dash from AID3, went to the advanced tab and installed SID4.5 splinter cell game saves to HD, ran the exploitable game, making eeprom and MS backup and installed SID4.5. Everything installs fine and I get the (Sofmod Installation Successfull press "A" screen) and then it reboots. From there I see the MS dash for like half a second then I get the non-numbered error screen. I can still run my exploitable game but that's it. I can't run AID3 and when I uninstall SID4.5 to try to go back to retail I get the same non-numbered error screen. Do you get my problem? I can't figure out why I'm not able to go back to retail when I installed a fresh MS dash from the AID3 disk.

Okay problem solved. There seemed to be a problem with the MS dash I got from the AID3 disk. What I did was loaded the exploitable game, ftp to the xbox and deleted everything that had to do with the MS dash i got from AID3. I then put in the MS dash files I got from xboxhq a while ago and everything works fine. Pretty weird...anyway, thanks for all the help!
