FTP...Ok here goes...i didnt want to have to ask, and i have been looking all over the place to find my answer to no avail.
I have a smartxx v3 chip with an 80 gig hd. I am able to see c:d:eMad:y:z in ftp mode however no f. If i boot to evox dash i see f. with remaining space. What do i do in ftp to see f: I have found little bits and pieces of what i need to know but nothing in black and white. Also a little more info to help. I have been having to copy info to e: with ftp then boot to avalaunch to copy from e: to F: and that has worked but its twice as much work. Help please

Try this before changing your dash... Open up a Windows Explorer and type in this: ftp://xbox:xbox@192.168.x.xxx

The numbers after the @ sign is your xbox's ip address. So obviously it wont be x.xxx. This may allow you to see your F:/ drive although I am not completely sure.

Ok, so I was just doing a normal softmod for a customer without a hdd upgrade and noticed the same thing... In UnleashX I can see the F:/ drive but in the ftp it shows nothing. Thats the first time I noticed it. Probably because I just use xbpartitioner to write and format f:/. Because, after I used xbpartitioner on it, it showed up fine.

Here is an old post of mine, its just a small tutorial that I wrote a while ago on how to use XBPatitioner.

You have to use a little tool called Xbpartitioner, It sets the size of your hdd partitions. I use it all the time when I softmod and works great, download it from the usual places, or get it off of the AID disk. When you have it on your box run the program and at the screen press start, then you will see 2 windows ( one on top of the other ) the top window shows your C: E: X: Y: Z:, the bottom window shows your F:/G: drive. Move the highlighted portion to the bottom screen and press the "A" button untill it shows the top partition in the bottom window somewhere around your hdd max space, then press start to write table and format partition. A screen will pop up asking if you are sure you want to continue, just press the "Y" button to continue and it will Write and Format the partition. Make sure if you have anything loaded on the F: partition that you back it up to your pc first because it will wipe the entire F: clean. Now you will experience the hdd's full capacity.

At least in your case you can see the F:/ drive in the ftp now...
