I installed a new Aladdin Live chip in a brand new 1.6 xbox. I flashed the chip with new 1.6 bios. I have checked and rechecked all my solder joints, they are all good. I only have the DO point hooked upto the chip, not the optional stuff(bt,l1,l2). When I push the power button on the xbox it boots to the orignal bios not the Aladdin. I try to hold it in and wait for the eject light to change but it never does. The blue light on the Aladdin lights up. And when I ground the DO point I get FRAG.So what an I doing wrong. Any Help, Thanks

There is another user having the same issue you are. Check the other Aladdin 1.6 post.
Something to the effect that the programmer needs an extra wire or something. Not sure if this will be your case, but until Aladdin gets back to you it's worth looking into.

Hi. I had the same problem I'm an installer, so I had to buy a 1.6 xbox to install aladdin live in it. well you should follow the diagram provided from aladdinlive.com, except point D0, this point must be soldered to ground, I mean D0 point in Mo Bo to ground, optional points in chip (D0 L1 L2 BT)don't work, so don't use them. This way your chip works but functions for xboxlive are unavailable, to get these functions you must solder an external switch, to disable your modchip, sorry for my poor english. I live in mexico, city. so I speak spanish. I hope all these help you

When I Ground the DO point, and I try to start the xbox All I get ir FRAG, A short green eject light, than another short green eject light, than a grenn and red blinking eject light and a black screen. Does that mean the bios on the chip is bad. I have tried the 1.6 aladdin bios and the m8 1.6 bios. I am flashing with the aladdin programmer. Any Help
