Seems like I read on this site somewhere that the original M$Bios wouldn't support DVD drives that were't built for it or configured a certain way or somethin. Either way any old drive won't work. But if you have a chipped box and Evox and all that can you use any make DVD Drive, or is there some physical restriction like funny pins on the drive, or messed up power requirements, or somethin?
Basically will a nonstandard DVD-Rom drive work in a MODDED Xbox?
Thanks?

Well. I seem to have hit something else entirely since class this morning. I figured since I already ave this thread posted, I'll just ask here to save space. I did the remote on/off switch. Got the light gun wire connected all that. Right after I put the switch in the controller the d-pad stopped working. I fiddled with it and it started working. I played around with it to make sure i had whatever bug out then I tested the on/off switch. Worked like a charm. Only now the remote doesn't work again. Tried unplugging and replugging turning the box on normally etc. I can start it with the modded controller and the move around with a second controller like nothing ever happened. Think I friedthe controller or might it be something in my wiring. I assume if the problem were in the box it wouldn't have surfaced until after Imodded it. The controller stopped working before I moved the wire. Moved the wire, tried the switch bam. I guess that means its gotta be the con...
Any ideas...hit me lol
