Okay i just got my x-chip last week. i have been reading around that for the version 1.6 you have to flash the x-chip with a different bios to even make it work on the v1.6 I read around the net and i look everywere, but i can not find a download or anything for any kind of bios for the x-chip. i even looked through the instruction manual on the easybuy web site, but it only talked about the "sercret bios", but did not tell were i could get one. I was just wonderin if anyone knew were i could download any of these "secret bios" and which would be the best for the x-chip. Please i need help. Thanks

The EVOX M8 Bios should work just fine for you.
Just make sure you use the right one for for your xbox version.
eg. EVOX M8_16 is for xbox versions v1.6 only
the other EVOX M8 bios is for xbox versions v1.0 -v1.5

Hi mate, I have had heaps of trouble and probably the majority of it was with the bios, not all though I don't think. Anyway my solution in the end was to load the xchip_v1.3-1.6box_only.bin bios which I got off xbins, then through the x-control program, (after you have winrared or similar the file you downloaded ) you select 'load raw' then 'write all' to the xchip through the usb programmer. This completely rewrites the table on the xchip as seen in the x-control. That's it, problem fixed, hope it works for you law65.
