I have one (factory direct), but don't know how to get any use out of it. (Long story).
Is there any way to play DVD's or after-market XBOX games on it? Am I missing some obvious way for me to find games online? Please assist a total newbie.

What do you mean? Do you have a genuine development xbox or just the software? Have you installed the development kit on you pc? Do you have visual studio.net installed? XDK can do many things, I'm currently experimenting with video capture to use with Media X Menu but it can do much more. If you own vs.net you XDK will add itslelf to the libraries allowing you to code for the xbox but this is beyond the grasp even of advanced users. Hi,
A XDK (Xbox Development Kit) is used by software developers and game designers on the xbox console.. I have coded some sample XBOX .xbe files myself using Vs7.net and the XDK library. Its a kick ass library!
You dont need a DEBUG XBOX (XDK XBOX) to be able to code.
All you need is a modded xbox that can run modded code..
All i do to test my .xbe programs once ive finished writing them is ftp the onto the xbox somewhere say e:\xdk\test.xbe and then i execture a RAW command using FLASHFXP to run the app..
Something like this:
execute text.xbe (whilst in the c:\xdk\ directory)
