Ok, to copy a game to your HDD. i did this b4 but i used cloneXB to get the files off of my game, then i used flashFXP to transfer them to my HDD. My only question. Can i use FlashFXP to get the files off of my game thats in my Xbox. and could i send them straight back to my HDD or do i have to do somthing to the files to make them recognizable then send them to my HDD?
And one other thing, lets say for some odd reason that i have a .torrent file of a game or something like that. What do i need to do to that .torrent file in order to send it to my xbox and make it work?

to make a game work that you got off of a torrent, you need to make a iso of using qwix or one of thiso programs. im not sure if you can ftp as is you have to try it and find out. If you are downloading games off of torrents I hope you already have the original if not that piracy.

I know that's what I do when the original is scratched and now unplayable.

*watches as the last point of Freakman's post went over everyone's heads* WHOOOOSH... Very Happy

To use torrents (Let's just say you're using the AID 3.0 torrent), you need BitTorrent installed on your computer (to download it, click here) That's the main "driver" so to speak. It comes with a download manager, but it's weak as far as most are concerned.

To "up the ante" so to speak, you need a great download controller... For that, we're gonna use Azureus. (clicking that will start the download). You need the newest version of the Java Runtime. You can also pick that up from the azureus site. http://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php

Once that's all done and installed, you're gonna click on the Torrent Download Link, say "Open" then Azureus will run, and start the download of the files. It will take a while (It's "seed" based). To understand EXACTLY how torrents work, check out the bittorrent site (the first link I gave ya) and poke around. You'll understand that's it's mostly peer to peer, but better.

Oh yeah, while you're poking around source forge, check out a program called "Peer Guardian". It's very nifty, and will "protect" your computer from prying IP's. Just make sure to "Allow HTTP" or you'll never be able to surf the web.

I actually prefer to use utorrent from www.utorrent.com the memory requirements are a lot less than Azureus, and it doesn't bog your system down.
