Heheh...I have successfully built a 29-wire modchip!(What a pain in the ass!)
My V1.1 now works, but now I need to flash it's TSOP. Any sugestions? _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

Good work on your mod.. I myself have a nightmare still installed in my first xbox.. A 49LF020 directly soldiered to the board from the pins of the chip.. hahah
You could power it on with your modchip connected then snip the wires and flash using evox dash or others.. lol Ive done it once only and it worked like a charm..
But i wouldnt seriously suggest that..
I dont suggest TSOP flashes anyway. Just fit a modchip and get it back to a working state.. You can move on from there.
Maybe someone else with more experience with TSOP'ing can comment.

I Did It!
No, I didn't snip the wires. I installed toggle switches in between the pins and wires for pin 32(+5v), Pin 16(Ground), and the wire that you link to +5v. It took me a f#&@ up to figure this out! (the Scotch didn't help either ) Don't wire a sw to put +5v and gnd together, you will get melted wires, smoke, and more soldering! )
It took 2 toggles, 1 DPDT (pin 32 and link), and 1 SPST (Gnd). If only Radio Shack had a Triple Pole SW, that would have been COOL!!!
Anyway ... I booted to EvoX, flipped the switches, and Flashed!
Now I need to figure out how to reflash an LPC chip that I screwed up, trying not to do the 29-wire mod!
Any sugestions on that one? _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

I'm not sure, but I think it be nice if you suggest a tutorial post on this, just for our database, since most of this complex finding aren't out there as tutorials, most tutorials teach you some, but sometimes they need to be in other ppl's words _________________ Xbox v1.1

I'll think about it.
Are you talking about the re-flashing the TSOP part, or the 29-wire mod part?
