Xbox-Hq EvoX Auto-Installer v1.3 Final
IMPORTANT NOTES:
* You must flash your BIOS before using this installer, the Cromwell BIOS will not read this ISO.
* READ THE PDF FILE before saying you don't know where everything is in the menu.
* For Newbies this URL is recommended reading: http://xbox-hq.com/html/postt1508.html
* Read the howto guide Here (You'll require the latest Acrobat reader to view this)

This is the final release of the EvoX Auto-Installer. Even though there will be a new Auto-Installer released in the future, it will not be a solo EvoX installer.
Version 1.3 is basically built from version 1.2 Final Beta which was released roughly about two months ago. It includes patches up to 1.2.02 plus a few updates on the applications. It also includes a better Microsoft Dashboard upgrade supplied by RealMcCloy (thanks mate!).
I was thinking about sitting down and re-writing the whole installer from scratch to make this a MultiDash installer, but I will save this for the upcoming version 2.0, this is just a small update to finalise the 1.x ersion.
I did however re-write the script for what was currently supported, so it will look a little different than that you are probably used to. Hence now that I've done this, the installer is mine and not a SlaYer-style install.
If you are starting to get nervous already, just have a quick read of the PDF file included (you will need Acrobat Reader 6 to view it). It goes through what each section of the menu is, and how it's used. I haven't gone into great detail with it as I don't see it essential, it's basically there so you don't get confused by my new layout.

NETWORKING INFORMATION:
The following files are what you have to change the network settings in. To access this you have to extract the ISO using C-Xboxtool 2 (or something similar) and change these files:
Auto-Installer .ini file
/evox.ini
Config files for Apps on a Large HDD
/Config/AppsL/MXM/MXM.ini
/Config/AppsL/XBMC/XboxMediaCenter.xml
Config files for Apps on Retail HDD

/Config/Dash/3935-r/evox.ini
Config files for EvoX on Large HDD
/Config/Dash/3921-l/evox.ini
/Config/Dash/3935-l/evox.ini
Config files for EvoX on Large HDD (when Apps are installed on G Drive)
/Config/Dash/3921-l2/evox.ini
/Config/Dash/3935-l2/evox.ini
The current IP settings are as shown:
StaticIP = Yes
IP: 192.168.0.2
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.100
DNS 1: 0.0.0.0
DNS 2: 0.0.0.0
Ofcourse not all programs have the same settings, but this the network scheme I've set all-round, to make it easier to find and configure.
Change these to suit your network, then rebuild (create) the ISO with the
changed files. Now you should be able to access your network.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
1) Burn the ISO to an appropriate media, depending on your Xbox DVD-ROM Drive.
NOTE: DVD Decrypter is recommended for burning the ISO on to a DVD. Also burning at 1x is recommended.
2) Insert CD/DVD into the Xbox, then boot it with your modchip on.

Basically what the SlaYer auto-installer does is format / parttion your hard drive, install the microsoft and evox dashboard, flash bios, lock / unlock the HDD, plus set up other applications. Mine does all that too except this one has up-to-date versions. Slayer's installer is coming up to a year old now.
Until version 1.3 the menu layout was even very close, but now I have developed a new menu structure which seems to be a lot more clearer and easier to follow.
So, just grab 1.3 and use that instead, it'll save you looking around for newer versions of stuff too

I finally got my modded xbox up and running and ran the 1.3 installer. When I go to the Launch Applications menu, the selected bar seems to be at the bottom of the menu and I cannot scroll the apps. I can see DVD2XBox Media Copier, PxHDD Loader, and XBox File Explorer at the top, but cannot scroll to them. Any suggestions?

Did you use the "Install Applications" section of the installer?

TargetBoy,
If you have the CROMWELL BIOS on your XBOX MODCHIP it will not boot anything but XBOX LINUX.. You cant boot backup games, dashboards, auto installers or emulators with the CROMWELL BIOS..
You must first flash your modchip with a hacked m$ bios.. Probably the latest M8 bios would do.
Then you will be able to boot the XBOX HQ AUTO INSTALLER every time..
I would suggest you download the BIOS BOOT DISC (CD) of realmccloy's it is available in the VIP DOWNLOADS section under the BOOT CD category..
once you flashed you will be able to boot all HOMEBREW APPS, GAMES, EMUS and AUTO INSTALLERS on your xbox without a problem.
So, after saying all that.. FLASH YOUR MODCHIP. Cromwell is useless!
heres a topic i think all you newbies should read:
I'd have to agree here too, it's good information so newbies ain't so blind to obvious things. We're not meaning to embarass anyone, just educate

We need to get your modchip flashed properly. Once your modchip load a hacked bios, then you will be able to read any media that your DVD Drive supports.
Basically, once the autoinstaller loads up you should see a menu to select various activities from. Such as:
Format Retail HD
Format Large HD
Install EvoX to C drive
Install EvoX to F drive
yada yada yada..
You know what would be cool is if we could get a screen shot up so people would know what to expect if they successfully launched the autoinstaller Disk.
I am very surprised to know that a lot of people really don't know what they are going to see when the disk loads. We could make it a sticky so it's always easily found here.
just a thought anyway.
Let me know if you need any help getting this autoinstaller rolling. I'll do what I can for you. I'll have to take a look through your other posts and get some background on what version xbox you have, what chip you are going with and what size HD. Also, what bios you are trying to flash to your chip.

Ok last step I promiseļ, ok I have up-dated all necessary bios and have install the new
Hq EvoX Auto-Installer v1.3 all is good,
I see the menu but I don¡¦t know what to do???
I read over the Newbee sheet and now know some terms but with the installer,
I am lost; I formatted the drive, install up-dated bios (not sure if that worked)
And install the apps on the G drive I think..
But when I put in my Sherk 2 (store bought not a copy) the game started,
I thought I would see an option screen, I was told I would have a few options like
Install to drive, Play game watch movie and so on,
Can I please get some input on how to install the Hq EvoX Auto-Installer v1.3 correctly
