For the past 2 weeks ive been trying to get the internet to work on my xbox. Ive done ipconfig in the command prompt and put in all the information that it said, didnt work. Ive tried putting it in static ip mode and it didnt work either. Im using crossover cables between my Terayon cable modem to my xbox. Some help would be appreciated ^_^

hi .//Panda,

Well you need to CHANGE YOUR EVOX DASHBOARD Settings..
Have you added your PC's DNS Servers to your XBOX EVOX DNS Settings.

All you do is a IPCONFIG on your pc
1. Choose 'start menu' then choose 'run'
2. type 'cmd' or 'command'
3. type 'ipconfig /all' then press enter
4. Write down your DNS Servers from your ipconfig that you did
5. Start your xbox and go into the XBOX DNS SERVER SETTINGS and add the dns servers from your pc
6. Thats it.. Reboot your xbox and you xbox will now be able to access the internet..

A GOOD TEST is to OPEN XBMC (Xbox Media Center) as it streams NEWS from the internet to the SCreen.. Also the Weather section will work when you have it setup correctly..

Just one other thing:
Hopefully you can already ftp into your xbox.. Otherwise you need to setup a NETWORK and add your XBOX on that NETWORK..

hope ive been some help

You should also change the cable you are using if the xbox is connecting directly to your modem. Use a patch/Straight-through cable instead. If you have a router between the 2 is doesn't matter. The router should sort it all out.
