I just got a call from the vet saying that my dog passed away this morning. He was only 11months old. WTF is going on, there are people that mistreat their dogs and they live a long life. Then people like us that take care of them get this.

I know to some it's just a dog but to us he was one of our kids. This really f*cking sucks. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Macho is the one on the right. I'm gonna miss him.

Golly man! I'm sorry. Ya when I lost my Lab a few years ago (seizures), it hurt for a while. She ended up pretty much dieing in my arms and there was nothing I could do to help. I was fortunate, I had her for well over 11 years.

I also lost my grandma about 2 weeks ago. First of all my grandparents to pass. This hasn't been a great start of a new year at all. Sorry to hear about your mom shark... My grandma would have said 'sisu', a Finnish word for have strength and courage. She even made all 12 grandkids light blue shirts that said 'sisu' in white a long time ago. Man did I feel stupid when my mom made me wear that to school. My thoughs are with you shark and enigma...

I know in theory its not bad news. BUt I just found out my friend's g/f is pregnant.

This is very ill-timed, his dad died a year ago yesterday and he has no financial means to support the kid, he is going to graduate from college in a year.

Its just been messing with my mind for the past few days.

Sorry to hear about your pup enigma, I remember how i felt when I had to put down my dog. It IS like a family member gone.

Sorry to hear about your pup Enigma, and you mom Shark.

This posthas funny timing because last night I was thinking about all my animals. I have a small zoo (thanks to my X-wife who didn't care about them anymore than me Laughing, shoulda' took the hint after 3 dogs that didn't want anything to do with her) I have 3 dogs, a Dingo, a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Akita, and a Sharpei/Lab, 4 cats, and 3(once 4) prairie dogs.

I was thinking how the animals really got me through the divorce and the rough times after it, but also how eventually I will have to watch each of my little family pass away one at a time.

I think the thing to remember is that nobody could have taken better care of or loved your dog more than you, even for the short time you had him. The pain sucks but it will pass and all that will be left will be the good memories. and specially with dogs, there are always a ton of those.

What kind of dog was he, if i may ask Wink
