You have to be sure that the softmod that was installed is SID4. There is a dual boot option in it. Power button will boot the softmod and Eject will boot the retail dash for live play. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

Really stupid question - I used SID 4.5 single boot, but have the option to go to MS Dash - will this work on Live?

yea this should work. SID 3 is the only one that blocks live. Yours should work, but you might risk getting banned.

Don't go on live with single boot or you will get banned, you have to use dual boot retail in SID 4 to go on live providing you have a live account before the softmod. _________________

ok now its my turn to ask. What are these and what do they mean? My friend has sid 3 but he wants to get onlive after I remove some of the stuff that will get him banned. PLz explain.
PS. Hellblazer I might be made an admin so I can help you out with the games and screenshots and stuff.

dual boot = (might be wrong way) open drive - modded, close drive - retail (meaning you can go on live)

yep ya got it backwards lol its
dual boot = close drive - Modded, open drive - Retail (meaning you can go on live)
Which basically power button to boot to mod - dvd tray closed and eject button to Retail - dvd tray open. _________________

For some reason I had trouble installing dual boot on a v1.0 system with sid 4.5. I kept getting error 21 after the reboot setup screen. I ended up uninstalling the softmod and installing single boot for it to work.
Single boot worked like a dream. But selecting MSDASH from the menu WILL NOT allow Live? or I will get banned right away?
This is a buddies box, I personally dont care about Live, but he asked and I couldnt answer...
