I'm looking to make XBMC my dash, but have yet to find any conclusive instructions on how to do so whilst using SID3.0.
The main thing is that I want to keep the OPEN TRAY SID 3 menu functionality, while still having XMBC as the default dash.
Thanks in advance!

well this is a simple solution, if you have AID. If you have AID, then all you have to do is install XBMC under E drive, then install xselect. Onc installed reboot xbox, then press up on the D-pad when xselect pops up. Then search for dashes and make XBMC as default and your other one a selected secondary dash. Or just install the dashes you want to have as apps. that way its a lot easier. To keep tray open you can do that in SID3. Just look for load disc with tray open. That should work.

Thanks for the quick response
I'm inclined to use the method you've described above based on my loose knowledge of the situation, but I'm less inclined to use that method based on the fact that I've already installed XBMC(Electronic Pond (2-4-06 version) and my current Dashboard(Unleash X) is installed to the C drive.
Will XSelect work with an already installed copy of XBMC(E:\Apps)? And will XSelect work with my already installed copy of UnleashX(Installed from SID 3 open-tray menu).
In other-words, is there any possible way that I can use my current version of XBMC as dash? I've read a few tut's that say all you need to do is rename your current dash, but after looking at my C drive, there's at least 4 or 5 different dash XBE's, and I have no clue which one is the SID3 loader and which one is the UnleashX dash.
Thanks again for your help!

Okay, I went ahead and just used AID / SID 3 installer and installed XBMC as my dash.
Now, XBMC resides at C:\XBMC\
Now, how would I go about updating that? Would I just copy my other XBMC right over C:\XBMC?

Eh, I got it. Wasn't too difficult. I went ahead and just used my current xbmc install, and used the <home> setting. Went smooth
