I am sorta newbie
In May 2003, I bought a modded XBOX with the following
I think Xecuter 2
120 GB drive upgrade
Samsung Drive
I used Slayers Installer 2.1 to flash the BIOS (I think it said something like 4977), and loaded XBMP 2.4, and loaded a bunch of media files, and have been enjoying it on a standard NTSC TV for a while.
Last week I bought an HDTV and wanted it to work with it, so I tried to change the video mode - it gives 3 options NTSC-M, NTSC-J and PAL. It was previously NTSC-M, I chose NTSC-J, and have not got ANY output from this XBOX since.

I got the AID2.11Deluxe and inserted it into the DVD drive and rebooted, and the thing went into a turn on turn off process for a while with no output. So I stopped it, and inserted my original Slayers Installer CD to try to FTP into the drives and upgrade to XBMC etc.
The XBOX got a DHCP address of 192.168.1.101, but when I try to ftp to it using FileZilla, it does not give any directory listing - gives an error.
The DVD light doesn't go red, or orange - mostly it is green or flashing green whether I boot using AID or SLayers.
No video output has come since I changed the video mode.
Please help!!

gus738 sounds like perhaps a trace near the video connector was damaged or there is a broken solder joint. Does it sound like the xbox is booting? Can you hear the hdd? Odd that the lights don't turn on to indicate a video issue.

That's a tough one.
Was the video connector wire connected at the time?
Could the wire have snapped inside?
Are the connectors intact?
It might not be the box but the wire between the box and the tv.
If you can, can you switch it out with another and see if the xbox sends video?

Example. Xbox dropped, video connector cord is attached. Xbox hits on rear with cord attached landing on connector. Could break prongs, snap the wire at the base of the xbox. I would recommend before doing any medical procedures, try swapping out the video cable first with another one.

Rats. So this isn't gonna be easy. The crappy thing is that if that connector is in good shape, then it might not be that either... ya know?
It could also be that one of the components such as a resistor or capasitor inside popped out of it's soldering joint too. I'm running out of ideas without being able to use a magnifying glass and a strong light to see if something isn't where it should be.

ok i fidgure out whats wrong with the xbox its called coma console

here is the link to the info.. but ill copy n paste as well

http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Repairs/ComaConsole.htm

The following tutorial is by Tizz78

Coma Console describes the situation where your Xbox will no longer boot, you see a blank screen, no audio but the LED light turns steady green just like it would look if it were working fine. This fix works only on 1.0 and 1.1 consoles since the first Xbox mother boards included a 1MB bios chip, this chip is divided into 4 256K banks, the steps described below are used to force the Xbox to use one of the other three banks since the primary bank has become corrupted. Boards 1.2 and beyond have a different bios chip this means the only possibility for fixing those is using a modchip to replace the faulty bios.

so depeding on what xbox i have will determine if i need a chip or not...

so this is a EASY FIX to anyone that know s soildering... and i dont Sad so i can stil sell it ... if anyone intrested ...

those little points are hard to solder to for someone whos inexperienced at soldering its safer to just chip the xbox.
