hi everybody
i have a router and broadband connection i have my xbox connected to my router but i cant download any skins can someone please help me on how to set it up

Thanks for that but i allredy connected my xbox to my router and set my xbox settings to DHCP my ip address of my router is 192.168.1.1 and i also want to FTP to xbox from my pc going thru the router my pc is connected to my router

Do you have an FTP client?

Most Xbox enthusiasts use FlashFXP. You can DL it and use it free for 30 days, I think.

Get it and install first and I'll help you set it up.

srry cant see the other LINK im not vip BUT do u want to be susefuly connected to ftp / internet on xbox am i correct?? i made that work on my xbox but i cant download skins eiter i just get an error about somtin http eror .. the same with live update it wont do it ..?ERh is that how u updtate the dash????

Got flash FXP installed it to my pc but how do i connect to my xbox with it my xbox is connected to my router and my pc is connected to my router my router ip is 192.168.1.1 my conputer is 192.168.1.12 so how can i connect to my xbox going thru my router can you tell me what settings to do and stuff

on settings chek network then edit ur xbox ip and then put that on flashfxp and user xbox pasword xbox and so u should be good.

yer i set my xbox ip to statik and set it to 192.168.1.3 password xbox username xbox went to flashFXP don the ip address and the password and username but it dont connect sorry about all this

port 21? and how u connectin ur xbox ?? 2 pc or router if pc then u need a cross over cable IF router then regular any cat cable 5 or 6...

and what kind of error does it say on the corner right side of the box?? when it didnt connect 2 flashfxp? im sure u r missing somtin as its soposed 2 conenct no matter what.. did u save the settings then turn off the xbox and turn it back on ? then try connecting .. check ur network again and when u put ur cable and should say no link or it should display a ip adds... does it say antying?? on network settings?

i put my xbox to DHCP and saved the settings restarted my xbox by the way my xbox is connected to the router and my pc is connected to the same router but when i restart my xbox it says my ip address is 0.0.0.0

Here's what I did....might not be an option for some of you though. I threw my belkin router in the trash and used a old 233mhz, 128mb, 20gig computer as a Linux router.

If your router has the option to assign a static IP address per MAC address for each computer or xbox, use that. Beats the hell out of change'n the IP address in your ftp program everytime you want to connect.

I JUST SAW UR MISTAKE

CHANGE UR DHCP TO STATIC!!! and auto dected and the default gateway should auto type it in once u restar t the same with dns and subnet mask..

REMBER SETTINGS APPLY AFTER U TURN OFF XBOX AND TURN ON ..

got it to work going thru the router i dont totaly now how but it works but i still cant connect to the internt thou and download skinks with unleashx
