Hello everyone.
I am getting my second xbox sometime in the next couple of weeks. This xbox had already a faulty dvd drive so my first adventure is replacing the dvd drive (suggestions anyone? or recommendation? best drive?) and then getting an XecuterLITE+ most likely (is this my best bet?). I am studying CS and enjoy systems programming so I will definitely be into nitty gritty stuff.

i know that this is an old post and the user isnt currently around (most likey anyway) but here goes an answer for anyone else woundering the same question
the best drive you can get for your xbox as far as compatiblity wise would be the samsung 616t modified PC drive. it currently reads everything from dvd-r to cd-rs (ive even had luck with it reading check walmart and kmart brand discs)
any other samsung drive is good also, the newer ones tho have less compatibility, also good are the phillips drive. if you tweak the pot on those, they can be adjusted to read any media you put in it.
