OK i got a x3 and there seems to be a problem. My xbox wont boot from the chip and will only come up with the M$ dash and my x3 will only boot up red and wont boot to blue anymore. I also cant to the bios screen to redo my bios or anything like that.
Is there a way to boot to the blue bios screen because cant just hold the eject and power button to do it now??? Or is there a problem with something that i dont know about or will i need to ftp it now???
Ok this is the edited bit where i tell whats happened:
I was at a mates place and needed to copy a game onto the hd. Didnt have enough room. So i used the file manager in dvd2xbox to delete a game. But before i deleted the game had to figure out how to delete so picked some stuff and got into the menu and figured out how to work it. Then quit back to the main menu of dvd2xbox and thought it would deselect the things i picked and went back and deleted the game. Copied the new game ove and quit to dash. Then got the black screen of death and had to reboot. Then my chip haaad a spack and stopped working. Thats about it. _________________ So many problems, so little time to inflict them on others.

Sounds like you deleted your dash...but that shouldn't keep you from booting to the bios (by holding down the white button while booting from a wired controller). It also shouldn't keep you from booting to the BIOS backup. Something isn't making sense.

Agree it makes no sense. Ok i tried the white button pushin but got nowhere and just booted up as before.
Heres some more info. I got a 1.1 version xbox with an no solder x3. Lets just say the prob cant be the d0 wire cause trust me it annoyed me for a while but it definately cannot move now
Also the no solder mod is lighting up well and the chip has 2 blue leds and one green or red dependent if flash enabled bios is on. When i try to boot up to the backup bank the chip powers down then just boots up to the M$ dash bank anyway, so the chip must be active at some point. There is no probs with my xbox because it boots ok to the normal M$ dash. If necessay will get my mates x3 chip if necessery to check if the chip is dead. Hopefully it wont get that far. _________________ So many problems, so little time to inflict them on others.

At this point, I'd try to reflash your BIOS. If you can't boot to the backup, try booting to banks 5-8 (off-on-off-off), which should have Flash BIOS 3.0.3 and try to reflash the BIOS. Make sure you use the proper file with LBA48 support, etc.

Thanks for ya help jhondra.
The problem in the end was a combination of my d0 wire and no solder mod both conspiring against me. I sillycooned the d0 wire in thinking that it would hold, of course i was wrong as per usual. Also the no solder mod may have been a bit off. Both these problems ending up making one new problem that sumped me for a bit!!!!
What would people recommend im thinking of just soldering the d0 wire in or should i go the whole hog and just solder everything. Im leaning towards everything myself.
I was lucky that i fixed it cause was gonna borrow my mate crossbow and fix it with that and post it up for everyone to see. _________________ So many problems, so little time to inflict them on others.
