It's time to put this thread to bed. We've given you all the info an tips to install a softmod. You have all the tools you need to do it. Now you just need to read and study all the procedures. Read through other softmod posts. Most of your questions have already been asked and answered. You difficulties are common for those who rush into softmodding.
At the current state of your xbox, it can still be softmodded. Don't do anything more until you have read and understand the installation process, know what to do with the tools you have, and can go through the process in your head....and be able to go through it forwards, backwards, side to side, and up-side down.
If you can't figure this stuff out, then maybe modding is not for you. I'm sure you will be able to find someone locally to do the mod for you.

We're not nasty here or nothing like that, it's just that we do help out a lot of people with problems, which is all contained in this forum. I can't say 100% for sure, but I could swear that atleast one person on this community would have had the same problem as yours as one time.
It's a shame you can't just get a modchip as it would've been a hell of a lot simpler (btw, Xenium SPICE is the best solderless and easiest chip to install).
Good luck anyways, you have everything that you need now, you just need to learn how to use it...

i finally managed 2 softmod my xbox!
as i somehow couldnt make the gamesave exploits work my self i sended my memory card via post 2 blighty and he put the gamesaves in and it worked

LOL...funny that mazor's "user rating" is now "experienced", despite him obviously being anything but. I read this post the first day it came out, and could just tell I didn't even want to waste the time (especially after the 4th reply back to himself). Now I know why all the Tivo Hacker forum guys are so rude...you tend to get irritated and jaded when it is always "me...me...me...help me, I don't want to do any work and I want it to all just be done for ME without any learning or time spent". It isn't that we all aren't "n00bs" at some point in all our lives, it is just how we act while we are there...petty, lazy, demanding and self centered is the worst.
