I was wondering if someone could tell me how to use yalmp or media player to play movies that have been saved to the harddrive? If i use dvd copy or hdd copy to copy them to the harddrive what else can I use to copy or play? Thanks

You tried xbox media center?
itll do all movies, music and pics

with media player you have to edit the xml to search in a particular location to find the files
with media center theres an explorer included in all types to you can look for the files and play em.

Are you talking about DVD's that you rip to the Xbox, or are you talking about DiVX and stuff that you FTP over.
I always thought that if you ripped a DVD to your HD that XBMC will only play the individual VOB files, meaning you would have to load each VOB file after one has finished.
I heard someone once say that there is a "stack" feature that you can use to basically select all the VOB files and stack them all together to play one after the other on their own. I don't know if that is true, and what kind of quality you get.
