It might be just a media issue.. Remember your xbox will only like certain types of media.. So try to burn a BIOS.BIN file onto heaps of different brands of CDRW and try it..
Once you have flashed your bios you can then burn the XBOXHQ Auto Installer onto a CDRW/DVDR and install heaps of apps!
hope you get it sorted soon.. By the way, 'realmccloy' has a xenium he can help you walk through it.. Just pm him..

Hey, amptech2...give me a hollar if you are still having issues. Also, make sure you don't accidently name your bios file bios.bin.bin...
lot's of people make that mistake too!
the dummy file can be a folder with a bunch of mp3's in it. Anything really, just as long as it's larger than 50mb. The reason you need that is the bios.bin file is pretty small. Sometimes, the xbox won't find the bios.bin file unless there's a few other things on the disk.
Do you know what DVD Drive is in your xbox?
Here's how you can tell, just look at the drive and see which it looks like when compared to this pic.
Hang in there, getting the software configured and such is the hardest part of the mod. Forahobby is right when he is saying that once you get your bios flashed, you should use an autoinstaller to do the rest. Talk about simplifying your life!! _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

Yes i've read the tutorials but im not sure if i'm seting everything up rite in nero.I'm sure that i got a useable media because i bert some music on a cd-rw and it played.I have a philips dvd-drive.Is the bios.bin file just a blank file named bios.bin?I haven't yet tryied to put some music on there for a dummy file with it yet but i will.Am I going about this all wrong?I just made a file in my documents named bios.bin that has nothing in it and burnt it on a disc.I'm very ready to get this thing going. My box is sitting here collecting dust and i can't even play the games i actuallly paid for!!Hey realmmcloy if you got a chance later maybe i could send you a pm and you could help me walk through this???That would practically save my life rite now i'm kinda stressin!

No..no..no. You actually have to have a bios in the bios bin. What you are doing is flashing your modchip with a bios that will alter the way your machine works. It will allow other media to load, apps to load, save games to HD and such, not too mention launch a different dashboard.
You need to download a hacked bios. What version xbox are you running, and are you using a regular Xenium chip or the Xenium Ice??
I am running a Xecuter2 bios on my Xenium, but if you have a 1.6 xbox and a Xenium Ice chip then you are limited to what bios you can use. I believe the correct bios for the 1.6 xbox is the M8? I am sure someone can confirm that for me. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter
