i got a sunday chip atleast a month ago or so, anyways, when i installed it, it worked fine. then after a while it got to where sometimes it would boot with just the green light (no frag) and it would not have video/audio/eject, which means bad bios i think,
the weird thing is, is that sometimes it would work, i dont know why but it just would sometimes and sometimes it wouldnt, i looked online and at the manual, i saw where you could disconnect the "bt" connection and it is supposed to make the chip always on, as i was thinking maybe it was sometimes booting from the chip and sometimes not, but since i disconnected the "bt" point, it always has no video/audio/eject and light stays green,
sound like a bad bios or what?
any ideas? thanks in advance!

You should email me your address to:

Some of these flashroms may have a problem, we've found the bad datecode now, but a few did get out, email me if these same symptoms are affecting you. They only appear on 1.0-1.4 xboxes. They go away completely with a new flashrom or a CPLD re-flash, but it's easier to just send out flashroms. Plus this affects about 5 or 10 chips I think, not many at all as I caught this problem very early. So ya there is a solution for you on this problem and all I need is an address.

Would this be similar to the problem I'm having w/ my chip? The two 512k SST chips have different numbers on them. The problem I'm speaking of is in the following thread:

This sounds more like a cold joint or weak connection rproblem. Also maybe re-seat it on the header as they do often times come lose. Every install I do I imagine a kid carrying an Xbox around in his back pack.
