hi
im totally n00b to xbox modding and i need some help
ive got some questions:
what is ftp? and how 2 do it? do i need a modchip 2 do it or not?
what is softmod? how 2 do it? and do i need a modchip 2 do it or not?
i really wanna get halo 2 remapped 2 work reaaly

To FTP (transfer files from your pc to your xbox) you need to be modded either by softmod or chip.
Modchips gives you many possibilities: easy access to XBox live, easier hdd upgrade, LCD displays, etc.
Softmods can cost nothing or very little. You don't have to open up your box so it's good if you have a warrenty. It can be very easy to install.
Take things one step at a time. What you want to do can be done by either type of mod. Decide which way you want to go and do your homework. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

That is the most important part. Too many times someone decides to softmod because (for the most part) there is no actual cost to modding the xbox. The issue is that it's also the easiest way to turn it in to a non-recoverable brick. If you wish a chip, we can suggest proven chips and if you can't solder then we can recommend chips with solderless adapters. my parents will definatley not let me buy one defintely not
guesss il do it when i get old enough with xbox 360 then

mazor55 perhaps we didn't state our case clearly enough. So let me start by saying that we are simply recommending you do some homework before you softmod. It can be done and we can help but don't think you'll pop in a disk and boom it's done. You should understand the process so that if you get in trouble and need our help you can tell us what steps you've taken so far. Get the SID or AID 2.1.1 from here and then once you've got that and read a little, let us know and we'll get you modded.
Just dont' do anything before you understand what you are doing.

hmm all the tutorials i have looked thorugh so far says i must have action replay and a copy of either splinter cell, 007 agent under fire or mechassault
its not hard or expensive 2 get that i know but im just wonderin is there any other way?

I would like to confirm but I believe VIP access (even the 14 day trial $5) would give you access to the save you'd need but you'd still need to have a memory card. Is that right softmod experts?
