What is the best softmod to use? I am looking for one that won't have the softmod written over by some live games. I've got krayzie's ndure and sid 3. So which one should I use? Thanks

The creator of SID 3 is one of the top guys here on this community, so if you go with SID 3 we can support you greatly if any trouble does happen come up. I personally haven't ever used krazyies installer, but I can't see why it would be a bad choice, I just know that you would get more readily available support here with SID. _________________

SID v2 and v3 are very easy to use. DJB did a great job making SID and AID together. I didn't have any problems with games corrupting files. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

Hi,
I personally would go with AID 2.11 FINAL / SID 3.0 - it has already been pointed out DJB and the other folk on here will give you good support and advise if you get stuck. (and praise when you succeed !)
I looked at other options but found the tutorials and the people here to be friendly and helpful - unlike 'other' xbox forums where you might get ridiculed for making mistakes !!!
Just remember no more playing xbox live after you install the softmod. (unless you restore to m$ dash - u will then have to re-softmod the xbox ...)
Iv'e done 5 xboxs all with AID/SID - nice and easy.

I never thought about it before but would xbmc`s emergency server thingy help people out when corruption strikes? this would mean editing the sid to install Xbmc instead of Evo or UnleashX.
I have tried both and both work great but if you want to play on xbox live you might want to give krayzie's ndure a try . From what I have read (I don't play on live) about it krazie's ndure installs a unmodded shadow c along with the softmodd making it posable to switch from modded to unmodded so you can play live without uninstalling the softmodd.
