http://halouser.xbox-hq.com/
Anyway, keep at it halouser.. Great work buddy..
I still love your wireless network adapter mod.. lol
I want to do that baby myself.
ok guys, i started out firday with a routine visit to my cardiologist in atlanta. everything was going fine, and then about midway through my eckocardiogram, my heart had a slight arithimia. i have a rare heart condition called endocartiofibroelastosis. ill go into more detail later. ive just been cooped up in a hospital room for so long i had to do something. anyways, they decided that i would need a deffiberlator for safety purposes. the surgery , and installation went fine, and then i had an allergic reaction to one of the antibiotics that i was being given through and iv. my sistolic bloob pressure dropped to 42 (its normally around 112), but they were able to resusitate me. at any rate, i deffinately have a higher power, and a whole lot of people to thank for praying for me and getting my through this. im just gonna post a few pics of my hospital stay, so progress should be slow for the next week or two. dont forget about me though, ive had alot of good ideas come to me just sitting around. cheers.
this is when i arrived in the hospital on friday. thats a heart monitor, and it could definately use some wire management.
this is a model of a deffiberlator. i actually have one of these inside of me now. the picture is taken with my dad's wedding band beside it for scale.
a really nice nurse at the hospital. she was probably my favorite.
finally, a pic of the scar. i have to get some sleep now. ill keep it updated. ill be up and running before too long, so dont expect this worklog to go without updates that long again.
forahobby, i have to say the site looks amazing. if anyone has any questions you need to send this guy and email. he is very helpful, an d probably one of the nicest poeple i have talked to on the internet.
i also hate to not be able to take credit for such an amazing mod. the wireless network card was ingenious, but i didnt do it. i cant remember who actually did, but ill look his name up later. thanks for all the support guys.

Yup,, you take it easy man.. Hopefuly youll be back on your feet in no time better and fitter then ever..
Your new website looks a treat too so dont even give it another thought.. Ill keep working on it for ya until you get well.
ok you can look at this as one big update or two relatively large updates. sooo...... here we go. my aunt gave me a get well soon present after i got back home fromt he hospital, and i bought a scroll saw, and a heat gun with it. (really my parents had to pitch some money in too). it took me a few days to get the hang of it but now im pretty darn handy with it.
yay! scroll saw.
here is the result of some experimentation. it can cut plexy, wood, metal. its pretty handy to have around.
i know how the heatgun works, but i had to.
me, my dad, and my grandad. this is the one that helped me with the waterblock. my dad's mom died today, so keep us in your prayers. its been a rough comple of weeks, but were tough and we will pull through it never hurts to have God on your side either.
yay!!!, i found some power connectors that i needed for the i/o panel on the back. _________________ wetbox rusty pc

Shit man.. My thought are with you and your family bro..
Alot of members are going through rough patches themselves right now so we will all wish the best for ya..
Anyway, just take it easy and look after yourself too.
You only just got out of hospital not that long ago..
ok, so yesterday wasnt a very good day for modding. i spent alot of time working on some handles that didnt turn out the way i wanted them to. the idea was to have two C shaped aluminum brackets. a piece of plexi would be heated and sandwiched in between the two metal brackets. finally a hole would be drilled through the bottum bracket into the plex where an led would be coutershrunk to illuminate the sides of the plexi. they didnt end up the way i wanted them so i scraped the idea.
maybe if i wasnt such a perfectionist.
i also wetsanded the final color coat and added a clear. the two paints were different brands, and i should have known not to do it, but i was impatient. the clear reacted with the paint and turned into an almost white color. today i had to sand and reapply another color coat.
now for the good news
ive been trying to get some diamond plate for the past few days with not much luck. today i called a small place called albany sheet metal works. they hooked me up with some shiney aluminum diamond plate for relatively inexpensive.
mmmm.... shiney!
the old back panel idea started to look cheap to me so i remidied it. this still has a long way to come (psu and pump plug, rad, etc.) it will look better in the long run.
this is where the rad will be placed. im getting excited.
i got rid of the stealth drive idea, and added this. i think it looks awsome. i might add some of that trim still. i just havnt decided.
everyone loves jukebox hero.
no more staples. ill probably post some more pictures tomorrow. just depends on how long im out of town for. i have funerals and stuff to attend this weekend, so i probably wont get anymore work done anytime soon. until next time.
so another big update. got the radiator mounted. the i/o plate is almost completely finished. i worked out my psu situation, and im almost ready to start on the inside. here are a few pics.
that is the new position for the psu cord and pump. they arent finished yet.
it will look something like this all plugged up.
sleeved the psu a little bit, but its really sloppy. it probably wont stay like this.
i call this the 57% complete shot. i wouldnt have put it all back together, but acryan wanted it. the side panel needs to be re painted, and the inside needs alot of work. thats not mentioning at all the front panel. it will all come together soon enough.

That looks awesome. But how do you have the patience to be building an xbox case for so long, I wish I had that kind of patience. Even putting in my modchip, which took me like 5 hours to do was hard for me.
Its looking fantastic so far halouser...I cant wait to see her finished.
You are certainly dedicated to this project - well done mate.
Good job m$ didn't set eyes on this baby they might have nicked some of your styling ideas.

yeah guys, keep an eye out on my new site. im still trying to figure out how to use it, but as it stands forahobby did a great job with it thus far.
my girlfriend has been in town for her fall break, but she is back and school now. the project has gotten a few touches, and should get some major work in the next few days.
first off i built a cover for the back panel on the inside of the case. i didnt want anyone to see the plugs or other unsightley necessities. this is what i came up with.
its not permanantly mounted yet, but you get the idea. i will counter sink some leds in the top and bottum and it should have a really nice soft glow.
next project was to get rid of the unsightly insides of the case. i initially painted the chassi white, but after i started with the diamond plate it seemed the fit the theme better.
tadaaa!!! it looks much better. like the majority of this post, it still needs work, but im getting there.
next i covored the chassi behind the mobo. it looks much better, but theres more.
i was really unhappy with the way the psu was looking so i thought about it, and this was the solution.
ok its unclear, but if you cant tell the dvd drive is in the upper right corner. after i get this mounted and the drive rack cover it should be rather pleasing on the inside of the case.
NOW... this is a very important question for you guys, and i need as many responses as i can get. i absolutely love the way the cover for the psu turned out, and i am seriously contemplating making a mes cover for the motherboard. it would proabably frosted plex with black mush underneath and uv leds shining through.
like i said, ill have better pics up later, but for now this will do.[/img] _________________ wetbox rusty pc

your such a sweetheart shortacid. forahobby too. you guys ubber pwnxxorownxxor all your base are belong to usxxor.
so ive gotten quite a bit done again. leave it up to be to let the updates pile up before i actually post them. sorry guys. here it comes.
so i finally got everything properly mounted. it wont be long before im finished with the inside of the case. then all i have to do is some mounting of the hip pad, and finish the bondo. im probably gonna get her powder coated because im not really happy with the paintjob. this is a quick little jib.
i still havnt completely worked out the psu cover mounting scheme yet, but i think i have the solution. we'll see.
i kinda wanted to keep everything uniform, so i opted the cover the motherboard. i made a template and cut it out.
plenty of room for circulation. i also added a fan over the mcpx. i might etch it. im not completely positive yet.
mount that piece and add some lights. i love the way the froxted plex diffuses the light.
might look a little crooked. but its because its so far ffrom the back of the case. its actually in line with everything.
so my next step is to construct a house for the pump/res assembly. i started with some angle aluminum. i cut a pice from the middle because it needs to be bent.
ghetto substitute for a vice.
now i have one side of the frame completed.
its gonna sit here when its finished. there will be diamond plate to match the interior, and a fan will be mounted inside the house to draw the heat the pump disperses into the water. also a top will be fabricated to match.
and finally!!!!
my drill press came in. probably monday ill get to play with it. let me know how you think its coming. dont forget to check out my site. im going to have it updated soon, so keep an eye on it.
