Hi folks!
I've been using a X-ecuter 2.3 Plus Modchip for months but yesterday, while my bro' was playing Driv3r copied into E:\games\..., it crashed and then, the EvoX dashboard doesn't want to load anymore! The blue light on the chip is still on, the green light on the switch is on also, and the chip is still capable of reading burned cds. Also, I put back my switch to Unprotected/Bank 2 and reinstalled the bios (which is suppose to install itself on Bank 1). Then, if I go back to Bank 1 and Protected and boot the XBox, I get the Xecuter loading screen (instead of microsoft's), but then it loads Microsoft's normal dashboard instead of EvoX Dashboard... Is there any cd I could boot to get more info about what is not working? Maybe some setting in the bios ini file could be change to fresh erase bank 1, or maybe I just need access to the harddrive (I can't access it by ftp since I no more have the EvoX Dashboard...) to delete some file?
Any help would be REALLLLY appreciated!
Thanks a lot,

Sounds like to me like an autoinstaller would get you straightened out real quickly.
Either the latest slayers autoinstaller, or the xbox-hq autoinstaller.
They are both availble in our VIP download section. A 10.00 donation would get you set up and ready to go.
Otherwise, you can check IRC, file sharing, Direct Connect, or Bit Torrent sites for the files...
good luck, hope you get it sorted. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

Yeah, finally, that was easy to fix. I just forgot that I had 2 cds, one for the bios, and one boot disk for EvoX. Just rebooting with EvoX cd and copying again the xboxdash.xbe from EvoX did it. I didn't know that a crash while playing a game could break my setup!
Thanks again for your help,

Oh yea, the xbox can be touchy sometimes. I've had to format and re-install C Drive a few times now. I guess that's why you always have an Autoinstaller handy, hehehe...
What I do if my C drive crashes usually is make a backup of my evox.ini file to E Drive, reformat/reinstall C Drive, then copy my evox.ini file back over.
Most of the time it's only my MS Dashboard that crashes (which I hardly ever use).
Anyways, just letting you know some of my experience...
