I think it would be awesome to clear up a lot of room at my place if it is possible (and if it is sorry) to mod the hard drive in a dvd recorder. I am looking at buying one right now, but I know that you cant burn copy righted movies to the factory hard drives. I have looked on the net and I havent found any info on a "modded dvd-player" or how to mod one. Does anyone know of where I can look to find info on this. It would be great if I could find a site like this one, that has answered all of my questions and then some. Here are the DVD-Recorders that I am looking at right now with the first one my choice if it can be modded.
thanks

How about this, Can I use the "Xboxhdm_v1.9 (HDD Recovery) program and do the following.
1.) Take the 120 GB HDD out of the Panasonic DVD-Recorder
2.) Open up an Xbox and use it ONLY for getting the the xboxhdm v1.9 main menu when it is hooked up to the PC and you have the four options.
3.) Now I unplug the Xbox hard drive from the main part on the cable connected to my PC and plug the Panasonic Factory 120GB HDD in. Then on the slave part I plug the 500 GB HDD in.
4.) Now I use the "Clone HDD" option
5.) Now I should have all the files and info from the 120GB HDD now on the 500 GB HDD and it should work perfectly.........right??????
I know this probably sounds crazy, but it is the only thing I can think of.
