Maybe it's just me doing something wrong (highly likely) but once ive burned the iso file to CD-R using Nero it'll burn fine, i finalize the CD and everything but when i put it in the xbox it tells me there's nothing on the disc! It'll just say tray empty...

Im using:
A Samsung CDRW/DVD SM-348B and Nero 6 to burn the disc
My Xbox is a 1.1 with UnleashX Dash + Softmod

This is doing me head in ive tried burning the disc 5 times at different speeds but still no joy. Is there any files or add-on's i need to add to the ISO before i can play it? or is it that you need a Hardmod instead of soft mod.

Ciao, Wuwave.

The xbox usually can't read a CD-R, sometimes a CD-RW, and almost always a DVD-R

I use Sony DVD-R. They come in a yellow box of 10. They have never failed me.

I'll probably pick up some Sony's today, or if I get a chance to run to the south end of town I'll check for the Princos.
I am using Verbatims now I think, as well as TDK.

Thanks Connor,

Wasnt aware that it needed to be a CD-RW rather than CD-R.

I'll give that a try.

No problem, just be aware that the Thomson drive is very picky. You might have a philips though, which is a little more forgiving.
Good luck.

Has anyone found a good brand of CD-RWs that will work on the xbox ? I do not have a DVD burner as of now. But it looks like if I want to do anymore work on my xbox I am going to need one. Here I come ebay.
